My adventure with fashion started very early.
From an early age, I watched my mother sewing clothes on her home sewing machine. I have pursued the passion for creating clothes rooted in my childhood throughout my life. In 2017, I graduated from the international school of costume design and fashion design, majoring in fashion design.
While still studying in 2016, I fulfilled my biggest dream – I founded my company under the name korneliarataj.
The brand was born out of a lifelong dream to create,
from a great desire to create beauty for women, a reflection of my sense of form, style and aesthetics.
And so, in a 10m2 room in my parents’ flat, the first products of our brand were created, sewn entirely by my mother.
In 2018, we moved the workshop to 40m2, where our warehouse was located,
this is where I designed and created the prototypes, and our collections were then created in an external friendly sewing room in Legnica.
In 2023, we moved the workshop to a rural paradise in Czernica near Jelenia Góra, which we had found a few years earlier,
fulfilling the dream of my immediate family, who have been an integral part of the brand since the beginning.
After a huge renovation of an old barn, we started working in a nearly 300m2 workshop and consequently opened our own sewing room.
Since mid 2023, we have been producing all products from the swimwear and linen collections in our family workshop in Czernica.
The new space, which is a dream come true, has given us the opportunity to expand our small team. Truly wonderful people have come our way, for which I am immensely grateful every day.
I thank them for their commitment to our development, to our daily work, to new projects. Each of them is now an integral part of what you can see, order, touch, use. This product, this quality, is the consequence of the passion and love we put into our work together at every stage.
